Cluster

Cluster model is so confusing. After the orientation I am still confused. All kids in the class on different levels and teachers are guided by each child’s ability. No groups.

Sounds like no real AAP to me 🤷

The cluster model is a pipe dream from educrats who want teachers to be gods and not well-meaning human beings with real limitations.

The research shows the cluster model can work well if the kids meet daily and get a differentiated curriculum. But how well do you think a given teacher can actually do that? Probably depends on the class (are there especially challenging kids that year?) and teacher (Are they really good at what they do with curriculum they don't have to tweak much from past years? Are they set in their not-great ways? Are they new and overwhelmed?)

Go to the center. "Cluster model" AAP means it's not really happening. Kids need whole class instruction in AAP for math/reading for them to actually get the benefits they deserve under the program.
