Has anyone gotten lasik for age related eyesight deterioration?

In what way? I was told that Lasik will make it so eventually you'll need reading glasses, sooner than normal.

If you're already wearing reading glasses, but your distance vision keeps getting worse, then maybe nothing is lost.

What does your ophthalmologist say?

My understanding is that lasik won’t help with age-related deterioration because that’s muscular, not the shape of the cornea.

This is what I was told as well.

I got Lasik done around 20 years ago and five years ago it started to slowly deteriorate. I was given an option of fixing it wear reading glasses (I am 50+) or wear glasses and no reading glasses. I chose the latter.
