I’d like to put a large decorative item in an empty corner but can’t decide what. My home is over 100 years old so an antique would look nice. One friend suggested I buy a big old bird cage mansion and put plants in it. Another suggested an antique horse from a carousel. Anyone have other ideas for something antique, fun and decorative? |
I would buy an antique looking or fun, colorful planter and put a fiddle fig tree in it. |
Grandfather clock? |
Tall urn, possibly with plant. |
Large red telephone booth that can be used for shelving.
A large telescope A small table with an antique typewriter or phone on top |
Antique sewing machine? Or an antique home appliance like a potbelly stove, washing machine, radio, harpsichord, spinning wheel, etc?
You could get a quilt rack and display quilts or lacework. |
Antique floor radio or jukebox. Vintage train arrival board. Reclaimed gargoyles from buildings, reclaimed gates, arches, lintels. Antique carts, plows etc. You can look up “architectural salvage” or “decorative salvage” to get an idea of what’s out there. |
Large globe on a stand. |
