Perimeno: Frequent urination without UTI or low estrogen?

Anonymous
I had an ovarian/kidney ultrasound and CT scan too. I was dx'd with pelvic dysfunction. I am looking for others with similar issues.

If you’re in peri, by definition you have declining estrogen. Vaginal estrogen is your friend for genitourinary issues.

Yes. This can be a symptom. Was for me in menopause itself. Saw a urogyn who prescribed yuvifem and vaginal pt. Both helped a lot.

I would ask to get tested for ureaplasma or mycoplasma. They have caused frequent urination when I've had them.

If you are peeing a lot each time, IDK, but if you are just wanting to pee and then not peeing that much my best advice is to hold it longer. I noticed a huge uptick in urge to urinate as I entered menopause. I saw a tiktok where a specialist basically said "just stop peeing so much." I tried it and it definitely worked. You hold it longer, no more going "just in case" before you leave the house or start a meeting, etc. You retrain your body.

Also, they said not to worry about UTIs. As someone who has had frequent UTIs in the past I did worry about this, but it was not been an issue.
