High School Naviance / SCOIR

In which year of HS was your student able to see scattergrams in Naviance / SCOIR? Was that function not available until senior year?

Recently received access, but there is no school history or scattergram data available … just college research and comparison functions. Thanks for any tips!

Got access beginning of junior year. Is your school super small? We don't have data when
only a small number applied (so kids can't be identified, I suppose)

Parent access in Grade 10. Scattergrams in Grade 11.

We have access to Naviance-10th grade. All of the mapping features don't load properly. I've tried on both chrome & edge. It shows on the bottom of each school page a box plot, but no scattergrams. Is this what everyone is referring to?

Our DS in middle school was just given access in 8th grade. It seems they are starting with the career exploration earlier in our area. On his account we can't see the box plots. I'm assuming this is because matriculation data from MS has not been loaded with it having just launched.

Honestly, we prefer Scoir at this stage. It's easier to use.

Junior year for both parents and students. There won’t be any data yet for 2024. Have to look at 2023.

Junior year, small school so no scattergrams

Why do they wait until Junior year? Wouldn't more information earlier be beneficial?

OP here. Thank you all. So I’ll assume we must wait until next year as a junior to see the scattergram functionality. I thought it might just be a problem I had accessing or viewing. Will wait it out

In the meantime, if there other useful functions of SCOIR you like to use please share.

For my current 10th grader, they got access earlier this semester.

I don't see how that's your conclusion for the PPs. You need to ask your school. Clearly each school is different.

Just email the counselor assigned to your student and ask. Our school is so small that you can only see scattergrams for colleges where lots of kids have applied. And since the admissions scene has changed so drastically over the past few years, I only look at the last two years for data. When I slice the data for only the last two years, the number of colleges with scattergram data drops significantly.

We have access but no scatter grams and can’t even “heart/like” schools yet. 10th grade.

School is changing over to college kickstart but they gave us access to Naviance to explore.
