Blazers for spring and summer

Anonymous
I tend to wear blazers with slacks to work (think boring federal job environment and I’m 49 - I’m looking for traditional here), with a shell or pretty blouse underneath. I have many heavier weight and wool ones for winter and fall, but I’m realizing my spring and summer blazers are worn out and need refreshing. I prefer a little color but also need basics. Where are you finding traditional blazers these days? I got a linen blazer from Quince but the quality was terrible (I should have assumed given the price but I’d been told to give them a try). Thanks.

These don't come in great colors beyond basics but I do like the blazers from Athleta. They're stretchy and good weight that's heavy without being hot.

I have a white linen blazer from Brooks Brothers that I love and wear often in Spring/ Summer.

I also have a couple of light blazers I like from Zara. Obviously not the same quality but still nice.

I like the sweater blazers from J Crew

Honestly, this is something that Talbots does well; it fits the bill for boring government and traditional. (Similarly situated person here.)

I am looking at one of their linen blazers during their 30% off sale: https://www.talbots.com/clothing/jackets-and-coats?start=0&sz=54

Brooks Brothers as the poster above said is another good choice, but quite a bit more expensive: https://www.brooksbrothers.com/womens/jackets-blazers

Brooks Brothers currently has a $100 off $300 offer, making it a bit more affordable.

I've had good luck at banana republic factory and Ann Taylor.

I’m looking for a solid white blazer that is not linen. Any suggestions?

I like knit blazers, but they definitely look soft and even a little sloppy. The St John ones are the sharpest looking but I just feel too old whenever I try them on.

I have one from nic and Zoe I really like that was very inexpensive.

They also have nice linen blazers and I like the lady jackets (which come in various fabrics).

You got to love Anthro marketing. The model with the barely there shorts. Perfect work attire

I posted another anthro link and the model was wearing a bikini top under it — a literal bathing suit. I guess that’s a “wear anywhere!” Outfit that takes you right from the boardroom to the beach for the woman that has/does it all!
