πŸ“š Dyslexia Student - Best Learning Apps? Tutor/Summer Programs? Curriculums? πŸ“š

My 1st & 5th grade children are dyslexic and struggle with reading/decoding and spelling. Can anyone recommend...
- best reading/spelling learning apps?
- best tutoring or summer intervention programs? (We are in N. Arlington.)
- best curriculums/workbooks I can do with them?
Any other advice or suggestions for me so I can help them?
Thank you!! ❀️

Read Sally Shaywitz’s β€œOvercoming Dyslexia”.

For the younger one All About Reading and All About Spelling. For the older try SRA corrective reading.

Every student is different but my DD can not learn through apps. She also struggles with ADHD so they just become a game vs actually retaining and learning the material. We found an OG trained treacher to tutor 3x/week through fairfax schools. There are summer camps that are meant for dyslexic learners as well but they all have waiting lists at this point.

This is not in any way a replacement for dyslexia-specific interventions but my struggling reader made big gains after doing Fast Phonics through the Reading Eggs app. It was really fun for him and reinforced the phonics concepts he was learning in his pull-out reading group. He hated the regular Reading Eggs program, by the way. The Fast Phonics section is separate but comes with the app.
