I need something engaging but easy while my dh is away for a longer work trip. One Day was perfect. I tried Emily in Paris but the main actress made me uncomfortable and I just couldn't get into it. |
A very different tone but I enjoyed Lovesick on Netflix. The YA ones like To All the Boys or The Summer I Turned Pretty are good for easy watching, too. |
Normal people |
I was also going to recommend Lovesick. I think some of the settings looked the same as One Day! I originally was turned off by the premise, but it was a very sweet show. I noticed the film "Where the Crawdads Sing" is leaving Netflix soon. It has some similar notes. |
Another vote for Normal People.
Also, The Queen's Gambit was really good. |
A little darker, but really good:
Killing Eve Fleabag (same writer) |
Normal people! I enjoyed it with my daughter |
telling me lies on Hulu

Another for Fleabag. Ugh the priest! |
Yikes, I can't imagine watching this with my mother! |
Such a crazy good show. |
I found it stressful. Stop being so stupid, I kept wanting to yell at her! |
