Are school principals doing zoom meetings?

Before you complain we need to know if it’s true or not.
Is it true they are no longer meeting at gatehouse and are just having monthly and weekly zoom meetings now?

Why are we still having zoom meetings? Should we force them to back in person?
School haven’t been the same since 2019.

Because it’s annoying and far to get everyone at Gatehouse. The meetings are mostly bs anyway and can be done over zoom easily.

Why? Why should the meeting be in person? Yes, there are some things that should be in person. Meetings with large groups of people should not be one of them (and realistically shouldn't be a meeting? A video? A document? A slack channel?)

+1, you think their time better spend driving 30+ minutes each way, park, etc. for each principal that is anywhere from 30-90 minutes that they can be at the school working.

You're right! We should force them to drive to Gatehouse so that they:

1. Spend even more time away from their buildings
2. Waste gas
3. Add to the obscene traffic issue in the county
4. Contribute even more carbon emissions

Why do you care? Some meetings didn’t go back to in person and this was an added benefit of the pandemic. For example, I don’t need to ever meet with my financial advisor in person and we only meet virtually now. -not a principal

There is no reason for them to travel 1.5 hr for an hour meeting when they are needed in the building to support staff and students.

One of the only good things about covid was moving so many in person meetings to Zoom. Saves so much time and energy!

Why do you care what format people have their meetings in? The vast majority of my meetings are over Teams* and we are all very productive. I am thrilled that I don't have to drive an hour each way to get to a meeting on the other side of town because it means I can use those two hours to actually work.

*Teams is the Microsoft equivalent of Zoom. I am explaining this to you because you clearly don't have a job and don't understand how the modern working world operates.
