where to buy a teen a suit?

Anonymous
My skinny older-teen son needs a suit for an event. I have no idea where to buy--my husband doesn't wear suits and it has never come up before. Any suggestions? Doubt he will ever wear it again so I'm not looking to spend TOO much, but also want him to look good

Nordstrom Rack or Marshalls/TJ Maxx or Macys- they are having a huge sale right now.

Target online or Amazon. Especially if they are still growing. Also, kohl’s.

We had good luck at Men’s Wearhouse. Also JC Penney.

Agree with both of these. My DS was tall and skinny and MW had a lot of options and were helpful.

Amazon. Cheap and quick.

Macy's worked for us. The salesman directed my teen DS to the slimmer, youthful-cut suits that would work for his body type.

Don’t go to Nordstrom. I went there with my then 16 year old so . Only one suit fit so I said we’d take it. I figured $500-$600. Hard to swallow but had no choice.

Sales guy rang it up and it was $1,000. It still fits. Part of me hopes he will grow. The other part is hoping this freaking suit fits forever!!

Mens Warehouse - Under $300 + tailoring costs. Great looking suit.

If you had any sense you would have walked away from that register and gone to another store.

Amazon. The brand selection is fine.

I got a nice Calvin Klein suit for my slim, tall tween at Macy’s online.

Another +1 for Macy's.

You can find bargains at Rack, but have to get lucky that they have the right size. Macy's (at least in Tysons) has a huge selection and tons of sizes. And a few salespeople that will actually help you!
