SOL scores

This past year was the first year my child took the SOLs in FCPS. Will we receive a copy of them in the mail?

Thanks!

Yes.

When do should we expect to get them? Someone told me end of July, which is why I am asking.

bump

Have other FCPS parents received their child's scores?

One reason I am asking is because my kid is transferring schools and more than one thing has been lost/miscommunicated in the transfer....

FCPS parent that has not yet received SOL scores. (But frankly, it doesn't even matter to me as my DC is a rising 4th grader, and the 3rd grade SOL tests were ridiculous. How a 3rd grader could NOT pass those is beyond me.)

Well, it matters to me for a few reasons. 1) I want to make sure her records get transferred properly and FCPS keeps "track" of her. This transfer has not gone as smoothly as I would like. 2) The new school uses these scores for math placement. 3) We were told word of mouth some info about her scores that I would like to confirm. So we have our reasons.

But it's good to know that they have probably not been mailed yet. Thank you!

Got ours in the mail yesterday.

OP here. Thanks PP, we got ours yesterday too. They came from the old school though, which I assume is normal because that is where she took the tests.

What's the percentage of pass advanced scores per grade FCPS-wide?

How easy are these tests? DS who HATES to read, and will not read unless threatened with bodily harm (JK), scored a perfect 600 in reading. These tests are really just testing the effectiveness of teaching to the test. The teachers give the kids tons of practice tests leading up to the real thing.

and what'd he get on the other two subjects, why just mention the one?

my kid got a 600 in math. He hates math & is prone to careless mistakes. I'm wondering if they got him mixed upo with someone else. Gotta be a mistake.

My kid got all 600s and is one of those kids that some other posters don't want in the AAP Center classes because he has a 504 for ADHD. These SOL tests are absolutely too easy.
