Do colleges after May1st send rescind offer letter to the students who did not accept their offer? Someone received from Cornell a few years ago. I wonder if it is a norm or is it Ivly league thing. |
So, should we withdraw or let it roll after 1st May? |
If you don't pay the deposit, you don't keep your spot. That's the way it works at every school I know of. |
Nice try trying to make everyone care that Cornell is I'm Ivy League.
A football conference is not an admissions consortium |
Stay on topic and dont be a whiny jobless mom |
It is Ivy League and top 12 in its own right. Haters going to hate. |
So, colleges dont send any rescind letters? |
I’ve never heard of it, but it doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen. Just seems like a waste of time as their offer already has an expiration date attached. |
This is perhaps the most pointless thread...I realize I am helping it survive.
Why does anyone care if a college sends a rescind letter or doesn't for a college that a kid has decided not to attend? |
Jobless moms on DCUM cares. |
I’ve only heard of rescind letters if student had a problem after application and acceptance, either academically tanking or some big issue like an arrest. |
Seriously you sound constipated (and I am not the OP) |
My DC didn't get any rescind letters - maybe a auto generated not on their screen or in their email when they officially declined (but they never left any school hanging either).
FWIW - the WL schools didn't bother to send notes saying WL was closed either....so no formal letter on their end. |
Why wouldn’t your kid pull the app if not going there? |
Why?? A big why? If the WL schools dont bother to send notes saying WL was closed why tf we should send.. we have 8 colleges to decline. |
