My 4th grader spent a significant amount of time last week and this week taking MCAP tests in ELA and Math. When can I expect to get results and what is the exact purpose of this testing? Thank you!

Um, some still have not received theirs from last years, so, um like who knows.

I just got last year's this week. The whole system is so stupid.

MCPS has the test results over the summer but doesn’t mail them until the spring of the following year. Contact Donna Blaney if you want your child’s report in a more timely fashion (though you will have to email/call multiple times to get it).

it seems they need three months between each mailings. In Oct-ish mail to schools, then in Jan onwards, mail to families. In the 21st century.
