Under the Bridge - Hulu TV show with Riley Keough (no book spoilers!)

Anyone watching this show? It was suggested to me when I opened the Hulu app. I am very intrigued, mostly by Josephine Bell and her style. Do you think she plucked her eyebrows for the show or is it makeup?

"The hidden world of the teenagers accused of a savage murder reveals startling truths about the unlikely killer."

Any predictions for the "Unlikely Killer?"

I just started and got like 10 minutes in before I got interrupted and then had to go to bed. Will definitely keep watching… This is definitely my kind of show and I really like Riley.

Welcome to my thread!

Do you think Riley is a good actress or only famous because of her family? What else has she done that I should consider?

OK, I’m the poster that responded and I’m back after watching episode two.

So I’m a little annoyed at a few things. I get that it is a different time and a different place and the girls were considered disposable, but I don’t find it believable that the police force was so pissed at Cam for trying to find a missing girl, who is like 15 right? In what universe is it like she’s been missing for a few days, I’m sure it’s fine. I know it’s racism and sexism and all that, but that seemed a little extreme that they at least wouldn’t go through the motions and that they were shocked that she was doing her job of following a lead. Especially since this girl had a house and family, and was not unhoused or like the other girls in the girls home. Again, I’m not naïve. I understand that the whole point is that these girls are disposable, but that just seemed too dismissive and a distracting plot point.

I admit, I’m intrigued by Riley because of her family history so I really don’t know if I would notice her otherwise. She’s doing OK though. I watched a couple episodes of Daisy Jones and the six and I couldn’t get into it, but she was good in that.

I think my problem is, I am holding this to the level of other shows in this genre. I have loved like the killing, and mayor of Easttown, and sharp objects, which are just so insanely good. But I’m going to give it another couple episodes.

I liked it but I think the mom killed her.

Me too. She bagged up her stuff really quickly. Also, the way the religious zealotry is portrayed makes me think that it’s going to be a factor.

It's based on a true story FYI.

I find Keogh annoying and not a great actress but I am mainly watching it because I love Lily Gladstone.

I think it’s Molly, Josephine bells best friend. Bc she didn’t want anything to come between their friendship.

OP here - I was right!!! But I had her name wrong, it's Kelly.

I think that is just a red herring! Like she told her boots at some point but she didn't mean she killed her. But I don't have a good theory yet.

Have all of the episodes been released yet? As of last week, there were only two. I thought the uncle might be the killer.

Oh I watched Ep 3 today and it was SO SLOW and BORING. And weirdly, directed by Catherine Harwicke who did the best Twilight movies. Ug.

One a week. Episode three came out yesterday.

No spoilers? It’s true crime…

I think it is the mom too. It is too early in the series to reveal the true murderer as being Kelly. I think Kelly just took the shoes while Reena was still unconscious after the beating.

Great show, looking forward to the next episode!
