What is going on with Amazon customer service?!

Never in my life have I seen such chaos trying to get help for an order I didn't receive. The chat window is a bot with no human the request a phone calls doesn't work because even though they called me they can't verify without me down loading an app. I don't use apps. No help at all. I can give them my name address cc # that's not enough?!

Terrible company. I live in a townhome development and they constantly send my packages to the wrong address.
Goggle their customer service phone number. I request a refund every time because I don't always get my packages back. I'm a Prime member but I'm going to quit using them.

The problem is that Amazon doesn't make much profit from its own website and so it doesn't invest in that part of their business. They make more of their profits from providing Amazon Web Services and being a marketplace for third parties and so that's what they prioritize. The retail part of Amazon is going to suck for the foreseeable future.

I've never had a problem with Amazon. I simply add a day or two to the date when ordering instead of choosing things like delivery tomorrow. That gives their supply chain time to catch up. Never had a shipment sent to the wrong address.

I don't need to have stuff 18 minutes later.

Their only fault is they over promise on delivery date and speed. So I just help them out a little.
