Ordinarily, I would let it go, but I never spend money on myself and this was a pair of earrings that I bought myself as a 50th birthday present. The setting is unique, and I bought them second hand, so I have no idea how I'd go about replacing the missing earring. I don't live in DC, so posting flyers is not something I can do. I've already posted on Craigslist lost and found. Is there any place else I can post? |
Try emailing Dan at Popville (https://www.popville.com/contact/). The audience is broad around DC, but there are lots of readers in the Columbia Heights/Admo/Petworth area. |
Good luck!
I lost my house key and club fob a few months ago - much bigger than an earring - and I view it as gone forever. |
Good luck. Played a sport down on the mall where wedding rings were frequently lost-- then found!!! If you can figure out kind of a narrow area, will a metal detector pick it up? |
That sucks, I’m sorry. Take the one you have to the tiny jewel box or pampillonia or Boone and sons and I’m sure they can make you a match. |
I wish. I basically went for a 3-4 mile walk in Adams Morgan and Rock Creek Park today. A terrible day to lose and earring! (I did try to retrace my steps, but I didn't see anything.) |
Thank you. I might just do this. |
Once you pay for it, throw away the receipt and try to forget it happened. |
Oh no! I’m so sorry. I hope you find it. Losing things really bugs me. |
That's terrible. I lost a very nice diamond earring once. I never found it. Maybe just getting another made is the way to go. |
OP here again. I live in Baltimore -- does anyone have a jeweler to recommend up here? |
Never wear jewelry when exercising. |
I like the advice. |
When did you take your sweatshirt off? Look there. |
I'm not trying to be funny, but you should try prayer. Whenever I lose something and pray to find it, it works. |
