Quit being a drama queen. Get your ass to counseling and AA immediately. You may need to do an in-patient detox and treatment. Your life isn't over. People recover from this all the time. You can, too, if you quit being such a whining baby and get your ass in treatment.

There is no epidemic of drunk driving in this country, yet we are led to believe there is under pressure from MADD and the NHTSA. These organizations grossly fabricate the number of deaths related to alcohol in order to turn our country into a police state, trading freedoms for securities.

A fine example of this is the term they use to misrepresent facts and gain alliances with the dumbed down population at large. The term they use is "Alcohol related crash-fatalities."

In 2011 there were 11,000 "Alcohol related fatalities." Where they count anyone who "Likely" had a BAC of 0.01% or more. Of those 11,000 deaths...
-2,000 were drunk pedestrians killed by sober drivers.
-1,000 were suicides.
-2,500 were single vehicle accident fatalities.

There is no epidemic here. We should be outraged by the propaganda that is practically being shoved down our throats.

Speeding kills more people.
Cellphones kill more young drivers.

Why don't we set a maximum speed limit of 15 MPH as we know it will save many lives.

Why don't we have laws as strict on Texting while driving similar to DWI... That problem is only getting worse.

Of the estimated 2 billion drunk drives that happen in this country annually, 1.5 million drivers are arrested for DWI. 1 out of ever 10 arrests in this country. We are converting people who are not harming anyone else into criminals, destroying their lives, and building a police state in the process.

Here in America we have 5% of the total human population, and 25% of the incarcerated population. 1 out of 4 prisoners in the world reside here in the land of the free. That is the highest rate in the world. About as many prisoners as all the prisoners in Russia and China COMBINED.

Don't feel sorry for yourself OP. Become a person who will always speak up about drunk driving. There are so many people who continue to drive drunk or just a little buzzed. Let people know it is wrong. Be part of the solution to save lives!

Breathalyzers are notoriously inaccurate. Sounds like ops might be accurate but in the future do not agree to it. Say you will do a blood test but not a breathalyzer if they beta warrant etc.

When I was younger I drove drunk so did my wife who was killed. That was 20 years ago. Think before you ruin your life. I can tell you that you do not want to be that person in court after you kill somebody. Good Luck either way

I have just got one, and i have the same thoughts. I can't look at myself. I feel like resigning from my job, and healing at home for a year. The laws are so harsh. Its like the planet of the apes. The Apes are the cops and judges killing off the humans on Earth. The DUI laws are man's largest tradegy in world history. They are not christian, and attempt to bury everyone in its path.

OP, as someone who would feel exactly like you would (very high standards), I'm saying: Take it easy. You learned something. Something about yourself (two glasses of wine=legally drunk). You learned this before you hurt somebody.

You will be able to explain it to your kids one day--how horrible it made you feel, and how you don't want your kids to ever feel this bad or stupid about themselves.

The trick is to find the lemonade in the lemons. You know you didn't hurt anyone and it will never happen again, and that's good enough. It's better than you *not* knowing and later on having two drinks and running into somebody crossing the street at night. You are actually BETTER OFF.
