EIW vs WTM English for improving comprehension and writing

Hello seasoned parents,

My DD is in 5th gr at a public school. She is good at grammar, spelling, vocabulary, but does not enjoy writing ( laziness and pandemic loss) and needs to improve comprehension( currently, 50% B grades only for comprehension, rest are all A)- she does understand, and at Lexile range for reading of around 1000L. However, she needs to re learn how to get main idea, inference etc. and practice. I have tried do it with her and she prefers to do it by herself.

I am trying to supplement at home. We tried one on one tutoring and has not been as useful and is very expensive. She needs to practice a ton of writing and lots of comprehension texts.

Would you recommend EIW level 5 and 6 to do starting now, through the summer? Alternatively, WTM has a recorded class in writing for summer.

Any input from this knowledgeable group of parents is much appreciated!
