Nova neuropsych evaluation recommendations

| Our elementary school provided an ADHD diagnosis with 504 for my daughter in third grade. Now in middle school, my daughter’s anxiety, academic frustrations, and impulsivity are hitting new extremes. Our pediatrician did not offer many solutions. I am thinking we need a complete neuropsych evaluation and then find a psychiatrist if medication is needed. Does anyone have recommendations for a thorough individual or group that might be able to fit us in sooner than later? |

| Just had an eval by Dr. Varia at Mindwell. Getting results in 2 weeks. I was impressed with intake for both my kid and me. |

You can get a comprehensive evaluation done at FamilyFirst Psychological Services in Vienna that includes psychoeducational testing and social/emotional testing. It's the same testing done by a neuropsych, but with different educational credentials. The report is very thorough. Our psychiatrist said it's comparable to a neuropsych.

| We had it done at Inova Keller. We were told the waiting list was about 18 months but got an appointment in about 8 months. |

We were also very happy with Mindwell. Not sure which Dr-it was a long time ago. They were able to get us in quickly. |
