The previous owners made some interesting paint choices on the exterior of our home.
Unfortunately, I can’t afford to re-do everything. I’m stuck with the bricks and mortar (both unusual colors), roof shingles (no clue what they were thinking), and siding. I need to select paint colors for the garage doors, front door, shutters, and trim. Again, they used colors that I wouldn’t have chosen, so I’m wondering if there is a color expert who can help me select new colors. Anyone btdt? PS - It’s not as simple as just going with black because the brick and mortar, siding, etc. won’t really go. |
You can take pictures of your house and then go to the paint store and ask to speak with the color consultant. |
Sherwin Williams color consultant - 30 min appointment via Google meet. Free of charge. Obviously they will recommend their colors. |
Also, take a picture of your house, and play with colors using the Sherwin Williams app. It will help you narrow down the color family you like. |
The app was really frustrating imho. |
Maria Killam sells this as an e-design option. |
I follow her on social media, and she’s fabulous! But it would be $1,295 plus several hundred dollars more to get the tips I need. I mean, she charges $250 to pick just a front door color. Is there another person/service like her…but less expensive? |
Sherwin Williams helped me pick 3 colors for my 1920s craftsman bungalow after the previous owner painted it terrible color combos. Everyone compliments the colors. You can also ask on Houzz. Post a photo and people will help you there for free. |
