Writing Skills Summer Camp

Looking for recommendations for middle/high school summer writing camps that are more “skills boost” and not for kids who are already great at or love writing. MD or virtual.

My son finally got excited in writing and reading after attending Sidwell Summer as a middle school student... his teacher was great, wore a tropical shirt every day, was laid back... such a relief!

I could not remember the name of the program so just checked the web site - STEP... https://www.sidwellsummer.org/dc-camps/step

He did a few weeks and we let him pick the fun workshops after we required him to do some reading /writing...

To the above PP- I am thinking of the STEP program for my rising 6th grader. Thinking of Improv/Storytelling/building new perspectives/ Public speaking as the 4 options.
I would appreciate any feedback on the classes above. I am always wary of descriptions of classes that are vague and I really do not know what to expect from it in a one week camp.

Any other recommendations for writing only camps that focuses on solid foundations for middle school ?

Thank you.

Bumping this thread. I am looking for the same for my rising 6th grader who loves to read but does not enjoy writing.
