Is it worth it? Did you see a HUGE difference in your face and after how many treatments and how much? |
Results depends on the intensity, the contrast between the spots (if doing it for melasma), how deep your wrinkles are (it only helpfs fine lines), how many broken blood vessels you have (if you're doing it for redness/rosacea) and how many sessions.
I'm nearly 60, grew up on a farm not using sunscreen, am fair complected and have rosacea. I get it done every few years and have excellent results. The first couple sessions the very first year I had it (about 20 years ago) were the most dramatic. I don't get so many 'coffee grounds' on my face but the treatment sometimes takes a couple months to reach full effect. It definitely helps with redness. I had my hands done last time and it was pretty dramatic. |
I get it done a few times a year. I do a revlite/IPL combo at NOVA medical skin care in falls church. There is a package deal buy 1 get 1. I can’t remember how much it is but I do my chest and face because I always buy the package.
I notice a difference and so does my husband. I’ve been doing it regularly since my mid-30s. I’m late 40s now. It’s definitely helped improve my skin’s appearance and helped with areas where I had a lot of sun damage. The doctor there is also a kind person that likes to heal people. She got rid of a small scar on my face. |
Meant to write that I buy packages so can’t remember the cost of 1 session. |
Please share the name of the NOVA place where you get it done! |

It hurts. I get it on my chest. Has made a big difference. I do LaseMD on my face with numbing. |
Anyone have an recs that are in or nearer to DC? |
Center for Laser Surgery in upper NW. The best. |
Yes. I had melasma and freckles and it’s helped immensely. Like 70% improvement with one session and an extra 20% with the second. I do yearly for maintenance. It’s supposed to help with wrinkles too but that’s hard to gauge. |
