I recently started a job with a new company and spending a lot of time finding my bearings. I enjoy the job immensely and don’t regret the change, but it’s different and not having the seniority I had before is more consuming than I anticipated. I feel like I go to work and come home and then all I do are tedious, generic “things”, like grocery shopping.
I’ve spattered in things like dinner with friends, I exercise and have hobbies. I won’t be able to travel this year, so I have planned different local excursions for myself, but they are at times more hassle than they are worth. I have nothing to look forward to.
Is there anything that can be done to make the daily humdrum more exciting?
