Ooh, this Newark St house!

So cheap for the location.

Sales record has a gap or it's been the same owner for decades. Perhaps it has never been renovated? Incredible location. Hmmm.

I'm suspicious because they included zero photographs of the house, not even of the exterior.

I’m assuming it needs at least $1m in work.

Probably just hasn't got the photographer out there yet? Still 2 weeks before it is officially on sale.

That’s probably the one that has had to fall apart all on its own b/c of historical restrictions on tearing down. There won’t be upgrades to be made. The lot will open. If you drive by there, you’ve seen it a million times.

Because a pencil sketch is faster than a photographer?

Huh? Are you saying this is going to be an empty lot? I'm confused. The description describes an actual house.

It looks fine on street view. It’s a 2,400 sq ft semi-detached house with 5 bedrooms, so the rooms must be tiny.

No, PP is probably talking about the house at Lowell and 34th. This one is semi-detached.

You can see the actual house easily enough by just typing the address into Google maps.

It’ll go for over 2.

On the other thread, a poster mentioned that one reason the price is so low is that the house is stucco. Didn't realize that stucco was not good. What? My house is stucco and just want to be aware of any potential problems

Somehow as a child growing up here I was always wounding myself on those houses. I don’t understand how or why, because I was a neurotypical with an average iq. But just looking at them makes me wince.

Well the house is pending now. That was fast!
