Center for Young Children?

Asking forgiveness in advance in for this off-topic post -- it's not technically about public schools in PG County, but I think this is the forum most likely to have posters with relevant experience. Are there any families here whose kids go/went to CYC? Our 3-year-old was just accepted, and while we're completely stoked and loved the tour, I'm interested in any feedback of the "things we wish we'd known/positive or negative surprises" variety.

Loved it. Our son cried the first weekend when we told him there was no school on Saturday. The teachers were wonderful and caring. Great community.

It’s called Route 1 Moms—not sure why it isn’t showing up. You can even search that group for CYC. It’s come up numerous times, including earlier this week.

I’ve had three kids go through CYC, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. I’m happy to answer and specific questions.

I've also had 3 kids go through the CYC! Overall the experience was great for them, and there are some fantastic teachers there.

My individual kids had mixed experiences there, but I would recommend still it.

It's a private group that you can't search for. You can ask a friend to invite you if they are in the group.

I taught there when I was in grad school, which was MANY years ago. It still holds a special place in my heart.
