I moved to Boston (Cambridge) 3 years ago. At first, the frugality drove me nuts. It’s in the extreme here-very cheap. But why are their homes so dirty? Why can’t people clean here? Messy, dirty, old furniture. What is the deal?

You must pal around with some grungy people because my friends have beautiful, well-kept homes, even if they aren’t huge or new construction.
