Stratford Landing Elementary for Level IV?

| Considering moving my child to Stratford Landing for AAP. She is in Spanish at Fort Hunt and loves it. We do have another child at the school (kindergarten) so not excited about splitting them up and I’m a little concerned about the teacher turnover I’ve heard about at SLES, but I don’t want to deny her an opportunity. |

| Teacher turnover is terrible. Principal seemed uninspiring. If you like immersion, stay at Ft Hunt. I'd say the same for kids at Belle View or Waynewood |

Is Stratford worse than Fort Hunt? Fort Hunt is on its 3rd principal in a year and a half. The previous principal was atrocious. |

| We had to make that decision last year and, after talking to a lot of neighbors, chose to stay at BVES. We couldn't see pulling a kid from a school community where they were happy and excelling. |

A principal not interested in AAP seems to be the main problem. Ft Hunt has turn over and an unhealthy atmosphere among some staff and the principal, but I don't think it reaches the kids. |

| Stratford is our center, as well, but unless there's an extremely compelling reason we will stay at WWES. Our child is the eldest of 3 and absolutely loves her school, peer group, etc. |

I am the OP. We love Fort Hunt. The previous principal wasn't great but I personally think some of the outrage against him was a little overblown. I am not shy about this opinion in person so I should probably stop there for fear of outing myself, haha. |

It depends on your kid. If they have friends at WW and like it there, there is no harm in staying. DD's year had a few go and a few stay. She stayed and loved WW and is doing very well at Sandburg now |

| Not many people will have experience with AAP at both schools. I think Waynewood has the stronger administration, and lower turn over for teachers teaching AAP. |

| Stratford has more behavior issues than WW. Even in AAP. |
