DH always wears fisherman sandals. DS is 17-18 yrs old, super super thin and I feel like fisherman sandals are too heavy. Keens are possibly too clunky. Flipflops are not sufficient for driving or going for a walk. What are guys wearing? |
FWIW, my DH is super tall and thin. He looks terrible in sandals because his feet are also thin. So he wears canvas slip ons, generally in tones not much darker than his skin. That way he doesn't look like he is all feet. |

Husband: flip flops
Teen so : crocs and slides |
Husband - Birks with 2 straps, Black nylon Tevas
Sons - Crocs, Adidas slides. My kids are not teens yet, but this is what the male HS and College age lifeguards at the pool and their swim coaches wear and they copy them. |
What on earth are fisherman sandals?
Mine wear Reef Flops or boat shoes. |
No 17 yo wants to wear those! Why can't he wear his Nikes/crocs/whatever when "going for a walk". Why can't you wear flops driving?? Wow this is a strange post. |
What does your kid want to wear? Because that’s what he should wear. |
They don't wear sandals unless at the pool or beach. |

DH wears Havanas to the beach. DS likes Croc slides at the beach. Otherwise they both were various lightweight trainers or boat shoes in the summer. |
