What are you basing your list off of?

I don’t know how many presidents have taken iq tests, we don’t know the “official” iq of many of our historical presidents.

Do you just believe these men were smart, and because you believe they were smart, they are special?

Um OP asked for the “most intelligent” presidents. That doesn’t mean “presidents who were intellectually on par with Socrates.” It’s simply a request to rank presidents by intelligence. You can do that with any group of people, rank them by whatever value you want. Who were the funniest. Who were the best looking. Who were the most talkative. Who were the biggest intertoverts. Who were the most or least athletic. And so on.

Are you perchance having a bad day that this irritates you so much?

Most of our presidents didn’t take an iq test. How are we going to prove which guy was really the most intelligent?

Rating a group of people by attractiveness or humor would be based in personal preference. It would be different from person to person, it would not be a definite list based on fact. This is such a weird thread.

You can gauge someone’s intelligence by a lot of things like their writing or the way they handle complex difficult situations. There are of course different types of intelligence, but seriously take a chill pill. This is just a fun question someone tossed out for discussion. If it bothers you don’t open the thread. Are you always so pedantic and rigid?

Because we don’t know which presidents are the most intelligent and can’t make a list based on any actual facts.

Have you personally read extensively from each president’s personal letters and correspondence, plus their presidential writings/records? You do know every modern president has a staff of highly skilled and educated people who write their speeches, correct? When we hear a president speaking, we are hearing his speechwriter(s). Presidents have legions of secretaries and assistants who help them with every facet of their job. The president isn’t sitting down and drafting and correcting (many, many) versions of a speech or correspondence. The president isn’t personally writing down hundreds of pages of policy proposals or statements or any other of the hundreds/thousands of pieces of written communication that has to happen every day he’s in office.

Reading a book written by a president about his personal life, do you know what a ghostwriter is? You think that the president didn’t have months of conversation with his ghostwriter, who actually fleshed out the book? Do you know what an editor is?

You are obviously naive and confident in your wrong opinion.
You can say their are presidents you agree with, think are intelligent, handsome, have a good sense of humor, etc, but that’s just your opinion.

That's ridiculous. Nobody's "mad" about a photo of Obama with Biden. Biden has had Obama, Clinton, Queen Latifah and other celebrities and they OPENLY ADVERTISE it as a feature for Biden fundraisers. And those fundraisers have been hugely successful.
