They accepted 4% this year they said… good luck everyone |
Duke is just becoming more and more competitive… it’s an absolute moonshot right now to get in |
That's sad, they accepted way less through ED this year so I thought their RD rate would be higher. But they received a lot more applicants in RD too so that didn't happen. |
And Duke is still in March Madness for both men and women, they need to lose at something! |
Congrats to Duke!!!
Because that’s the only party benefiting from this. |
Literally 1 in 25 kids are getting into Duke this year, that’s the real March Madness. |
So strange, because their application numbers were down a good amount from last year. Did they over enroll this past fall I wonder? |
Maybe their yield rates have increased, so they accept fewer total kids? It is odd since their total applications dropped. |
No their total applications increased. They received 48,000 RD, which is their most ever. |
I also recall seeing an article indicating applications were down this year vs. last. In any event, is your 48,000 figure only RD (i.e., not a combination of RD and ED?)? Where are you pulling that figure? |
It's on their website, they received 48,000 RD and over 54,000 total, both records for Duke. |
Let's be real, our kids chances of getting in aren't much different than last year, or the year before, etc. Duke is just near impossible to get into, and year-by-year fluctuations don't change that. |
Agree. |
Ivy + Duke day is going to be fun! Our kid's biggest hope is Cornell or Dartmouth, definitely no expectations for HPS, Yale or Duke. |
Stanford is after ivy + duke day I thought? |
