Can I find someone that would be able to pick up my kids from school 3-4 days a week and bring them home? It would be a 30-40 minutes gig in total since schools are about 10-15 min from our house.
How much would I need to pay? |
$50 plus mileage |
I’m a retired empty nester, and would love to do a job like that. Where are you located? |
50 per hour? That’s crazy. I was thinking $30/35 |
Great! We are in NW DC near the zoo. What would you charge us for this |
If you want to create a gmail for this, I can email you to discuss details. |
Great! Here it is driver4kids2024@gmail.com |
new poster here Seriously? As a retired empty nester, don't you want to travel? Or take impromptu day trips to semi-local sites (wineries, museums, botanical gardens...?) Is your spouse/partner ok with forgoing all of that, and being beholden to some unrelated kid's school schedule...for $150/week? |
PP quoting myself here Actually i just read OP's posts again. Much less than that. She says it will only take about 1/2 hr and she is specific that she wants to pay $30-35/hr (not per day.) So I guess she's looking to pay about $15-17/day, 3 or 4 times a week....so about $68/week-at most? |
Be careful of child molestors! |
This literally made me lol.
I thought PP quoted $50hr was being optimistic! OP, would you think getting up and out in the morning to take kids to school, in your personal vehicle, using gas, presumably installing a car seat(s) in your own car, would be worth $60 per week? I did this in 2004 when I was a senior in high school and I think they paid me $200 per week 20 years ago. |
Oh, but it's even worse than that. At least taking kids TO school is first thing in the morning, and then you have the rest of the day open. OP wants someone to pick the kids up from school--so middle of the day! It would make it really hard to get a different childcare job before/after this gig. |
OMG. Just pay for after care. This is ridiculous. |
This is hilarious!! |
You need to either get a real nanny or put your children in after care. I would not trust driver4kids@gmail.com with my children. |
