Boys teams for HS aged beginners?

Anonymous
Maybe this doesn't exist but my 9th grade son joined his school's JV team having never played before. He's loving it and picking it up quickly. I know he'll want to continue to improve so 2 questions:

1) Are there skills clinics over the summer he can join? He'd likely need weekends or evenings since he'll be working as a camp counselor.

2) For the fall - are there teams for this age that aren't super competitive/super select travel teams?

We're in MoCo. Thanks!

Mabry Academy will have a summer program at the Rockville Sportsplex, either one or two nights a week with sessions in the evening.

I have a similar question but for a boy in MS. Seems like everyone in this area started playing at birth, but DS is picking it up in 6th because his school has a team. He's now talking about wanting to play in HS. Trying to figure out what to do this summer and going forward training/team wise.

If you can make the drive True NOVA is a great place for the boy who wants to get better for Highschool. Good luck and good for you supporting your son.

Does anyone have experience with this program to share? It's pretty expensive and not sure that my kid needs the Sunday night mental performance calls.
