My daughter started middle school this year in after 3 years of homeschool. Her GPA is 4.3 and her tests are assessments are great. I really miss extended traveling we did while homeschool. She does too BUT she likes having her little friend group.
She went a workdschooling group in Latin America for a bit but didn't connect with any of the kids. She said they were too corny LOL. She's more into urban vibe... So what would you do? I know that homeschooling is better for us overall (she loves studying languages but they don't have any in the school) but I feel bad to not let her have her friend experience... |
Most children are social animals. If she's happy don't change anything. |
Keep her where she is if she’s doing well and has some friends. Middle school can be a tough time all around and they often find it hard to connect. Friends frequently change at that age. I have one in public and one who is homeschooled for different reasons and this was true for both during that time. I too, would love if both of mine had the flexibility of homeschool so we all could travel whenever but it wouldn’t be the right decision for my one kid. |
