Any husbands use HIMs? Does it work?

Hubby and I are getting older (almost 50) and he's been having a tough time in the bedroom. We're okay with it, but he wants something. He's been feeling a lot of ads about HIMS. Reviews online read like it's the same as the blue pill. Anyone's husband here use it? Feedback?

Can be the same as the blue pill (Viagra) - HIMS has multiple kinds - some are Viagra generic some are Cialis generic - they also make a combo pill that has varying degrees of sildenafil (Viagra), tadalafil (Cialis), or Vardenafil (Levitra/Staxyn). My husband prefers Cialis over Viagra (headaches) but hasn't tried Levitra or a combo pill. Cialis also helps with BPH which he also has. It works really well and works within an 30 minutes to an hour and lasts through the morning on Viagra or longer on Cialis depending on dosage. There is also a company called Rugiet that also makes a combo pill. Using GoodRX at the pharmacy was cheaper than HIMS though for just the single medicine pills if your healthcare provider is really high.

NP. How long do these drugs last before the ere*tion is gone? I'd love for my DH to try, but he is concerned about side effects.

Sorry if that was too explicit. I changed out a word, hopefully that is better.

But, I see the comment above about the Rx lasting through the morning. That was what worried me. I'm all for things working better, and would love that, but I need my sleep. i couldn't be dealing with that all night!

He generally takes it the night before around 8-9pm - that way we can do it that night or in the morning - takes the pressure off both of us. Viagra seemed to work for about 12 hours at 50mg. Small dose Cialis (5mg) about the same, regular dose (10mg) was 18 hours for him but its supposed to work up to 36 hours. He didn't have any side effects with Cialis (either dose) and actually makes BPH issues better. Viagra he got prescribed at 100mg dose and chops to size (cheaper that way). At a 25mg size lasted about 8 hours had few side effects - sometimes headaches, at 50mg it lasted 12 hours but he gets headaches about 50% of the time - anything more than that he got bigger headaches and occasional blue vision. He never has the problem on any of it with an erection that lasts too long - it just works when he needs it to - although I noticed he gets morning wood more often when on it. Its worth trying both to see what works best, his doctor worked with him and gave him prescriptions for both so he could figure it out. From my perspective, they all worked the same - like he was 25 again.

He's not hard all night - omg that would be annoying! When he's mentally in the mood it just makes it work. He stays hard a bit longer after he's finished that he used to be - maybe 5-10 minutes (which is a bonus because if I haven't yet, he can be ready for me a little longer!) The ability is what lasts and not the erection.

Maybe for some people but not for him. Good to try them all to see what works best.

ED drugs don't keep you hard nonstop, it just helps a man get aroused and stay hard. Once a man orgasms he softens again. But, if he's in the mood while the drug is still active in his body (8-10 hours) he can get aroused and stay hard. It's not a constant affect.

I have used HIMS Hard Mints. They are fine. There are various compounding pharmacies which make the same products at a significantly lower price. Try “The ED Clinic”. Their troches, which blend Sildenafil (Viagra) and Tadalafil (Cialis), work well. I’ve never had any issues using their troches.

I've been seeing ads for the mints. How do you use them? It is the same as the pill but in candy form? How long does it last and when do you take it?

PP. With both the Hard Mints and the compounded troches, they should be taken at least 30 minutes in advance.

Hard Mints are the size of Altoids. They are chewed up.

Troches are about the same size as Hard Mints. They dissolve under your tongue in 30-45 seconds.

Both contain the active ingredients in Viagra and Cialis, which are Sildenafil and Tadalafil.

I’m early 60s and both options work for me. Both are prescribed online.
