Yes but why would I post it on here?

Is it as bad as someone earlier said on here?!

From what I’ve heard, there are some pretty great (IMO) veteran teachers leaving.

No one can blame them....look at this thread-parents should be ashamed.

The teachers that don’t teach our kids should be ashamed. They pop on a YouTube video or slide show and hope the parents teach their kids the material. Then throw on the angry teachers that berate and bully our children. Kids genuinely feel terror from some of the ANGRY navy teachers that are now checked out and entitled. If you think us navy parents are so bad then leave. We’d rather take our chances with new teachers that are happy to be here. Funny how none of the newer teachers aren’t making a problem. Interesting. I say bring on more new teachers. Can’t be worse.

I have to agree. We need some new, creative teachers who actually like the kids and know how to teach.

Quite frankly I am looking forward to some energetic fresh thinking minds of teachers who actually want to teach and actually like children. Enough with the abusive teachers that think parents entitled because they want a decent education for their child (not a video slideshow teacher).

You all realize there is a nationwide teacher shortage right?

There’s also a nationwide IT worker shortage!

Kindly state what "abuse" your child has suffered by a teacher in the classroom. This is quite the accusation to make. Where are the details?

DP. PP said the teacher was abusive. A bit strong, but I know exactly who the PP is talking about. I won’t go into details here but many parents feel this way. Many parents have complained in the past and not a damn thing was done.

Verbal abuse is a form of abuse.

I'm not Navy connected but reading this thread which is constantly trending on here will make a lot of teachers steer clear of the school. This is a sad thread it sounds like extreme parent and teacher issues! There is also a sense of entitlement which creates a toxic environment all around.

Yes. I imagine special ed slots will be tougher to fill though.

General education too because they have SPED responsibilities and the behaviors are getting worse from SPED and Gen ED students.

Oh bull. I highly doubt many teachers are on here to begin with. I don’t see any entitlement. Just concerned parents all around.

I hate to say it, but I called it from Day 1 on this very thread. I said the Navy teachers were in for a lot of change and would probably have a problem with the new principal. Looks like I was right.

Let’s face it - Navy is known to be a high SES school. The kids are for the most part fairly good. The parents will ensure they learn the material regardless.

Here we go again! Stop with “I’m not a navy person but…”, “I’m an IT worker but I think the poor navy teachers bla bla bla…”. No one is buying this. You are clearly a navy teacher. Just like no one believes that teachers are leaving because they were so offended by what was written on an anonymous blog. If you are leaving because of posts on an anonymous blog then you are not too bright and probably shouldn’t be teaching anyway.
