I know many younger professionals who live in Southern Florida and hate it. |
How soon can they leave? |
young people move to FL and TX because it's cheap, not because of politics. I think some conservatives who tout how so many are moving to TX/FL don't understand the reason why people are moving there.. it's not because of their politics, but in spite of their politics. These young people are just starting out, and if they are making $100K, they are being taxed a lot, so they escape to tax havens like TX and FL. Yes, I know TX has high property taxes, but young people aren't buying expensive homes. |
Nobody could have predicted /s |
Oh no, what will Florida ever do without ecology and social justice professors! |
Tourism/beaches is huge for the FL economy, and the beaches/natural beauty are a big reason people move to FL. PhDs in ecology, biology, hydro and geology are important for FL. Most people know this. |
I thought someone said “Florida is where woke dies”. Was that it? Woke folks can choose between 49 other states. Floridians don’t want them. |
It's the same reason why some doctors are leaving anti-abortion states. They feel they can't do their jobs, and might be sued for doing their job and helping people. |
Floridians don't want anyone other than straight, white people. |
Wrong. TONS of diversity in Florida. Tons. |
Florida ranks #1 as the state most Americans want to relocate from, according to a new study by moving company SelfStorage.com that analyzed Google search data across the 50 states.

LOL!! Where’s the evidence of people actually leaving Florida? Look to U-Hall and moving companies for that, and please share, OP.
Google searches are just that: Looking In any case, people keep coming, so there’s hardly a shortage of Florida residents. Construction is booming. |
You are trying to have an intelligent conversation with a dolt. No Point. |
These two sentences can exist together, sadly. Those people aren't wanted. |
