My husband and I are considering sending our DS to DeMatha next year. We live in NW DC near the Walter Reed campus and I am wondering if the DeMatha or parents have arranged transportation options near this location. |
I live near you. I know kids that walk to Takoma, take it one stop, take Green 3 stops to College Park station. Commute not bad. The total metro ride is 18 mins + walking to Takoma and taking shuttle from CP station. |
Bump. Curious about this ourselves as we're in NW DC and considering what a daily commute to DeMatha could look like.
They seem to have shuttle services that service parts of Montgomery County but the only option in D.C. is out of Capitol Hill. |
You can go down hyattsville crossing (one stop before CP) and walk 20 mins to the campus. |
Bump. OP. What did you wind up doing? |
If you live near Walter Reed, you may want to consider DeMatha’s bus transportation services - there is a stop at Silver Spring metro station. I believe there is also a free daily shuttle from College Park Metro. |
