bus service to DeMatha from NW DC

My husband and I are considering sending our DS to DeMatha next year. We live in NW DC near the Walter Reed campus and I am wondering if the DeMatha or parents have arranged transportation options near this location.

I live near you. I know kids that walk to Takoma, take it one stop, take Green 3 stops to College Park station. Commute not bad. The total metro ride is 18 mins + walking to Takoma and taking shuttle from CP station.

Bump. Curious about this ourselves as we're in NW DC and considering what a daily commute to DeMatha could look like.

They seem to have shuttle services that service parts of Montgomery County but the only option in D.C. is out of Capitol Hill.

You can go down hyattsville crossing (one stop before CP) and walk 20 mins to the campus.

Bump. OP. What did you wind up doing?

If you live near Walter Reed, you may want to consider DeMatha’s bus transportation services - there is a stop at Silver Spring metro station. I believe there is also a free daily shuttle from College Park Metro.
