Apple crisp or apple crumble?

For Thanksgiving dessert to bring? They seem practically the same but the crisp has oatmeal in the topping I guess? Pie is not in my wheelhouse

Apple crumble. Unless the apple crisp is fresh out of the oven, the crispy topping gets soggy. So I wouldn't do it if you plan to make today.

Good to know! I'll be making it about 3-4 hours in advance. Crumble it is!

No, make the crisp! The oatmeal brown sugar topping is so much better than the nasty dough. Assuming you'll be heating before serving, even if you are cooking ahead? It will crisp back up. Even better if you make it, cover it, bring to serving location and do original bake on site

Crisp for sure. My crisp topping doesn’t get soggy-may e it’s that pps recipe? Crumble is like chunks of coffee take on apple pie filling.

I haven't made it yet, so now leaning towards crisp!

Crisp is ALWAYS the right choice. And mine says crispy for for several days. Not sure what PP is doing with theirs.

Make the version that Smitten Kitchen has on her website. The best! (It’s a crisp)
