Bethany Beach Hotel Recs?

We only have a few days to spend at the beach, and all of the condo/house rentals I've seen are weekly. So we're looking for a decent hotel in Bethany, oceanfront if posssible and near shops/restaurants. A website search has only uncovered the Bethany Arms hotel. Anyone stayed there and know if it's OK?

There are alot of mini week available at Sea Colony. I heard, have not been mind you, that Bethany Arms is a 3 out of 5, a little dumpy.

Check Craigslist.dc and look at vacation rentals, search mini weeks

OP here- Thank you PP! Had not even crossed my mind to look for mini-weeks. Craigs List doesn't list any, but I googled "sea colony mini week" and found a website with some listed.

Bethany Arms truthfully looked a little dumpy even on the website, which is why I worried...

I think there is no hyphen in mini weeks - that may be why you didn' t find them on craigslist. We found alot.
Good luck, it sure makes a difference when you don't have to plonk down $2K for an entire week.

I have stayed at the Bethany Arms and it hasn't been updated in at least 20 years. We were meeting up with other family, so I just went along for the convenience. It was not worth the money, although it was clean and the staff was friendly.
