Vaping weed

It seems so ubiquitous and I’m worried about it. It’s actually really bad. Just needed a place to put that.

Yes very bad for them, everywhere and accepted, hard To tackle. My kid has been regularly using for three years older teen and I think it has really impacted their life negatively. I’ve tried just about everything.

Is vaping weed different from the original?

The weed of today is supposedly way more problematic than old fashioned week. More likely to be laced and potent.

This is upsetting. What does this mean you’ve tried just about everything? You cut off access to funds and phone?

As a pp said, weed is now much more potent. Teens are vaping high-concentration THC, not smoking “gentle” weed their boomer parents grow. Vaping is very bad for the lungs, especially unregulated “carts,” which is what teens are most likely to use. They’re much more likely to have harmful additives. My source for the latter statement is none other than High Times, which urges people not to use unregulated carts.

The New York Times has published at least two recent stories on how prevalent and potentially dangerous teen vaping of THC is. Professionals i know agree.

Well, there's vaping flower and vaping those chemical cartridges....there is a difference.

OP here. I’m talking about the carts, which is what seems to be so common.

Please stop with this! Yes, I think that carts are dangerous but they are not laced!

They can be.

My DS started vaping because you can't really smell anything so he was smoking in his room at night and falling asleep. He smoked flower too. Its been a nightmare. Yes, DCUM, I know I'm a bad parent.

It's a problem. I have friends that vape weed (we are all young adults in our 20s) and I notice when we hang out that they become crabby and easily annoyed by things when they haven't vaped recently (as in, within the past 3-4 hours). I'd always been under the impression that weed wasn't as addictive as nicotine or other drugs, and I know that it isn't, but it is still definitely harmful & addictive.

I’m the OP. High Times says many of the unregulated carts dangerous additives in them. Not fetanyl but chemical additives that can be pretty harmful

I wouldn’t say it’s not as addictive as nicotine, when it’s vaped in this form. Idk.

OP again. Apparently this skyrocketed among teens during the pandemic. My DC says it is everywhere at school and outside of school.
