Is it possible to separate a person from their politics?

Yeah, shipping in millions on non citizens to vote and skipping the primary election process was quite a wake up.

You are a fcking idiot.

So you think circumventing the primary election process is not an attempt to end the fundamentals of our Democracy? Trump won because Democratic string pullers thought they could pull it off. The country isn’t as full as the MAGA whatever’s most democrats think half of the country is. Had a credible Primary process occurred with Biden not attempting to run for a second term Trump would not have won. Harris was a terrible candidate AND didn’t win a primary.

WTF does that have to do with “shipping in millions on non citizens to vote”?

Fcking idiot.

Many States allow illegals immigrants to vote. And why do you think they are being brought in? Why did we have a completely open Southern Boarder? I am asking questions that I would be interested in hearing your answers to, if you have one. Try to do so without crying, screaming or digging in your own a$$ to wipe feces on a Tesla door handle.

I mean, here's a poster child for why I've cut Republicans out of my life. Honestly can't tell if this is Fox News or some kind of psychotic break. Doesn't really matter.

Thought this from Harvard Crimson was good. To engage in discussion, think about what and how you are saying things. Nobody drops friends over tax policy. Over hate, yes.

lol yes my spouse. We manage. Hes an awesome partner and husband and it’s just not a big part of our lives. Or maybe it’s a friend or family member that shows up for you during chemo. If you find someone like that and cancel them over politics that’s pretty foolish, and not going to change their mind on any issues. It’s just a form of self-aggrandizement.

People’s political views change throughout their life and parties change too. Democracy relies on our ability to speak to one another civilly about differences of opinion and find common ground. The internet seems to have really damaged that aspect of society. It’s a shame.

No, one party is looney.

Why would you need to? I have tons of friends from almost 5 decades of life all over the US. I don't have any Trumpy friends because what makes them Trumpy would prevent our connecting in the first place--not very smart or well-read, intolerant, overly religious, etc. I don't have to separate anyone from their politics because I naturally am just not close to anyone who would go MAGA on me. I don't make friends based on politics... it just so happens that these folks are not in my orbit because they were always to be avoided, even before all this nonsense.

This. I have MAGA acquaintances through my kids sports but no one I’ve ever been friends with is a MAGA. We have nothing in common and wouldn’t be friends anyway. I don’t like misinformed stupid or racist people or people seriously lacking in any kind of empathy or people who always play the victim and constantly complain - so in many ways it has nothing to do with politics.

Yes it is possible to have these relationships....as long has you're not a brainwashed ideologue.

I have many friends with opposing views and we get along just fine. We are all well adjust grown ups.
