If your school is currently piloting or offering E3 Math next year

Anonymous
This is NOT a thread to debate the politics of E3. This is to get an idea of which schools are currently piloting E3 Math and how it's going so far and which schools are planning to roll it out next year and what information has been shared about how it will be implemented.

Hi OP!

I am also interested in simply finding out which schools have pilots currently, and which schools will be added to the pilot next year.

Everyone: please respect OP’s request and do NOT debate E3 here. If you want to debate/opine on E3, here is one of the leading threads:

Union Mills elementary is one of the E3 Pilot schools. Their website states:

“ Strategy 2

“Pilot E3 mathematics curriculum in 3rd and 4th grade so all students are offered opportunities to be engaged, enriched, and extended in mathematics.”

OP: After googling it, I was unable to find any public list of the pilot schools. It was only by chance that Union Mills put E3 on their page, which is here:

I can confirm Union Mill is one of the schools.

Wanted to add that Union Mill did a presentation in the beginning of the year.....I'm sure they recorded it and you can probably ask to see it?

I thought VA Run was one of the schools but I'm not 100% positive on that

I doubt that is the presentation, it seems more focused on MS and HS and not elementary school. The only ES part I saw mentioned was 5-6th grade advanced math in one system. The program that we are discussing is 3-4th in ES in FCPS.

Bailey's Upper is in E3 pilot for 3rd & 4th Grade. I have no knowledge on how it is going.

Lane ES is doing E3 this year in select 3rd & 4th grade classrooms. It is also the first year the school offered Local Level IV and e3 is used in the Level IV classroom.

Any more schools doing this? Just found out ours is and not thrilled about it.
