EXTREME fatigue a sign of labor?

Anonymous
I'm almost 39 weeks and am having EXTREME fatigue. I thought women were supposed to have a burst of energy but instead - it's a burst of "I NEED TO GET TO BED"... Anyone else have this before labor started?

I felt exhausted my whole pregnancy. Probably not a real sign of labor but clearly you're almost there. Now get ready for the real fatigue Good luck!

I'd call your doc and have your throat swabbed for strep. My whole family has asymptomatic strep, only sign was extreme fatigue - no sore throat, spots on throat, fever, anything. It is really going around right now. We were in and out of CVS minute clinic which is another option. I'd get tested today, if you are about to give birth you don't want to have strep. You are non-contagious within 24 hours of antibiotics. Hope it's just plain or tiredness. Good luck!
