Taylor Swift album Tortured Poets Department leaked early?

Makes her seems nuts. Why would she waste prime years between 26-33 in a dead end relationship while pining away for someone else? If so, jokes on her.

Lol I doubt any of these men play a significant role in her own happiness. She's in love with herself and fame more than anyone else.

What is a lush melody?

Just a melody that’s beautiful.

But once I figured out what was going on in the lyrics, I was hooked. It brought back memories from my youth and stirred so many emotions about all the torture, and all the poetry. And now I listen to it on repeat, daily.

It’s a brilliant album, albeit a bit chaotic. Much like Taylor Swift and Matty Healy.

Maybe I’m too old. I’m 53 - past the stage in my life she’s singing from. Now, existential songs about all facets of mid-life, including romance…sure, lol. Folklore and Evermore really resonated with me. And I seem to need a lush melody to draw me in - without it, I just want to turn it off.

But that’s okay. I still listen to her other albums.

PP here - you know, I’m just remembering that I’m often “meh” about her albums, then find myself listening on repeat. Why is that? I’ll give it another try.

I do think she bearded and had fake PR relationships for years. I honestly thought she was in the closet and covering that up (like everyone thought she was having a secret affair with her best friend, can’t remember her name) but perhaps it was all about Matty Healy. Who knew.

This is how I feel about her. Something about her music lends itself to listening on repeat. It's just sort of atmospheric and simple. I don't mean that as a compliment or an insult -- just an observation.

Because he inspired a ton and she owes him a ton?

There are people who honestly believe she owes him something? Wow.

I don’t know if owes him was the right way to phrase it, but there is no denying that the songs inspired by Matty Healy over the years are 🔥. As opposed to a song like Alchemy: bland, boring and forgettable.
Poets feed off pain like the dessert needs the rain. Sadly it’s a tale as old as time.

This album is similar to the all-same folklore one I also skipped.

She made a bunch of songs, all in similar chords, tone, melody, notes and she and her team decided to publish all of them and in one single album. Her choice.

“Waste” prime years? You mean break all records and become a billionaire with her music and tour, and fool around with a charismatic rock star? I wish I could have “wasted” a few years of my life like that!

Pp. You described the music part better than I did. I still feel like the music was little more than background filler while Taylor's lyrics just sat on top. This was more of a poetry reading than a music album. And her fans are into the narrative first and foemost, so ....

No it happened after 25 years of her own hard work and talent.
