Wow like did he win it somehow?
You know how expensive gas is?
To be filling that tank , getting insurance for it, registering etc Oh my god costs add up!!!

It will be very easy for a lawyer to look back at their financial history and see any recent house sales or money transfers. Any money hidden in another country is fair game. And if they indeed did attempt to hide assets, then the ounce of sympathy i had for their situation will burn away.
And yes, I do have some sympathy because no parent should have to go thru this even though they made stupid decisions. But you do need to own up to the repercussions.

I'm surprised by silence of frontal cortex crowd who think of everyone under 29 as a minor incapable of making any decision on their own.

Again .
Ask your self
How do you think girl is felling watching you write this mean comments??? Everyone knows how nice she was, and it was a mistake. That girl will be embarrassed to see the comments you’re written about Usman. She looking down of you, and she won’t be proud. She was one of most sweeties person at Oakton, she wouldn’t like any mean comments about anyone because that was the type of girls she was.

Good. He can wait in jail.

Again can we stop being so mean?

We told enough everyone make a mistake, and he’s going to spend time behind bars, but please stop being mean. I am just going show this link the the lawyer.

Those poor grieving and suffering parents and families of the girls who were killed and injured; their lives will never be the same. They are traumatized.

Shahid can wait in jail; he turned himself in days (or was it weeks?) after his horrific accident and so this seems justified for the judge to delay any and everything related to his sentencing. Maybe Usman will use this delay to contemplate, ruminate and reflect upon his actions.

It was definitely weeks.

Stop lying. I am done. I’m turning this off because it’s not good for my health. But he turn himself in As soon as they told him too. Goodbye have a nice life.

Criminal trials are many for the defendant and society. We don't have an eye for an eye here, so they are mainly to deter more damage to society and give a warning to future offenders or to allow the wrongly accused to set the record straight. Hopefully the families can get some money to help them move forward more easily and at least feel from the community during the criminal trial that their children's lives were valued.

Are you seriously using guilt trips from a dead girl to try and garner sympathy for the man that killed her?

That’s just creepy and weird.

Which was weeks after the accident, which was the question posed.

Deterrence is a part of it but punishment is also a major part of sentencing at criminal trials.

How would money help them move forward? Its not like 14 year olds were breadwinners or raising families?

Wow. You mean to tell us because she was so nice she would be okay with being mowed down by someone going 80 in a residential area without a driver license ?

Medical Bills. Therapy. Punishment for the convicted. I would have a much harder time working in the future if my child was killed.
