An aging hippie driving an orange suburu stood in front of my Tesla the other day at school drop-off, staring me down while shaking her head in disappointment. it was bizarre. We are coming up on the end of our lease, and will be getting another Tesla. These soft, silly shenanigans will have the opposite intended consequence on (some) stubborn and free-thinking people. |
Tesla is roughly $117 billion and SpaceX is $66 billion of Musk's net worth. We will need to come to a common understanding of entire before we can continue. |
Assuming your math is correct, 65% of his wealth is tied up in Tesla. Fantastic, thats a great start if we can rid him of that. It does seem like quite a bit less than it was two months ago, and even that stock that’s left is pretty leveraged. Starlink is easily replaced garbage. No other self respecting country is going to invest in that knowing what they know now. The rest of spacex is a national security risk (when it works!). It’s a Chinese company for all intents and purposes. No wonder he wants to be briefed on all matters China. https://www.rawstory.com/elon-musk-china-spacex/ Now his mommy is over there sucking up to the Chinese on his behalf. https://www.wired.com/story/maye-musk-china-influencer-brands/ Right now his entire future rides on Trump being in power and getting handed more and more taxpayer funded welfare and contract handouts. It won’t last forever. I am curious what it’s like being one of the most hated people on the planet. No wonder he loves dissociatives. If you take population into account, in raw numbers he might be one of the most hated people in history. |
Oh, a “free thinker.” Do you have some other interesting thoughts about vaccines and the shape of the earth? |
Great, then people can stop crying about them. |
Musk's estimated net worth is about $400 billion. So, about 30% is Tesla. As for Starlink, there are some potential competitors, but they would be using SpaceX lift vehicles. Musk can charge whatever he likes or even refuse to provide LEO service. Of course, you could argue that there are other launch services in the US, but they need to get FAA clearance. Also, any LEO provider will need an FCC license for downlink and uplink frequencies. Good luck if you think a US Starlink competitor is gaining ground in the next four years. Musk only needs a small headstart to beat everyone else. |
In the meanwhile you destroyed your own political party support among your Tesla owner constituents. Nobody is going to be feeling good having to deal with hostility and damage to their personal property, be forced to sell perfectly functioning vehicles they like or be worried using them. At some point you are left with minority of stupid self-flagellating types |
Those who own the products are mostly Dem voting constituents and residents of deep blue metro areas. Congrats. A party that eats their own. |
Used Tesla prices haven't dropped. I looked recently. Someone is buying them. The cheaper they get more of them you will see on the road, because majority of population are not political "activists" and vote with their bottom line. Your Tesla takedown is not only a complete flop costing votes, but also fluffing up of the surveillance police state. Useful idiots you are. |
| More and more arrests of Tesla vandals are being reported, most recently in Las Vegas and in Texarkana. Some are being charged federally. Like the violently aggressive pro-Hamas demonstrations, this kind of antisocial behavior is probably peaking. Perhaps we'll return to civil discourse instead of to seeing who can shout the loudest, engage in the most intimidation, or produce the most vandalism, all in a futile hope of changing business or national policies they don't like. |
Exactly. I’m going to upgrade my 3 to an S. I went door to door for Obama btw. I’m not going to be bullied by a bunch of purple haired nit wits. |
Sales of all electric vehicles in Europe grew 30 percent in the first two months of this year. During that time, sales of Teslas in Europe fell 50 percent. Coming soon to every country in the entire world. Tesla is imploding thanks to Musk's and DOGE's antics. This is why companies normally steer clear of politics and, you know, don't have their CEO give Nazi salutes and illegally fire tens of thousands of people who dont even work for them for no reason. The cherry on top will be when it turns out that DOGE is making zero difference when it comes to reducing the budget deficit. All of this will be for nothing. |
Who is going to buy them? Not Democrats. Not independents. There's barely any charging stations in red states, and things in big red states are really far apart. |
Civil discourse like pardoning violent insurrectionists and deporting women to a men’s prison El Salvador? |
Ok, then, let's just devolve into anarchy and see which positions prevail in the end. Hint: it won't be the Telsa-hating pinheads. |
