As a woman I can’t believe this is how my rights end in America. A senile stubborn old man that doesnt get the memo. I’m furious

If the "youth vote," goes for Trump they will curse the day they voted. Younger women need abortion rights more than women my age.

They’re not going to vote for Trump. They’re going to sit it out. And that is 100% Biden’s fault. It’s not up to GenZ to save democracy, it’s up to Biden. He chose to run, and now he has a job to do. The majority of Dem and likely-Dem voters I know would have preferred just about anyone but Biden. He should have sat this one out, so I find it a bit hypocritical.

Yes, Democrats lose when people won’t vote. But it’s not because of Gen Z. The key voters in swing states are moderates and independents. And that group is horrified at their choices and by the antics of the far left. They are the ones who will either not vote or vote for Trump.

This is just tired boomer nonsense chasing its tail. All the votes matter, especially in close races. Part of the reason Biden is such a fool is that he’s assumed he can take young voters for granted. You might think only moderates and independents, whatever those categories actually mean, matter, but what really matters is motivation. Demotivating your key demographics is suicide.

Apparently, he just insulted Poland also.

He is going to lose because he has alienated the moderate and independent voters, not so much because whiny college students are having a temper tantrum.

The moderate and independent voters are intelligent and they may not like the choices they have for president but they know they do not want the GOP candidate. Trump is shortly going to be a convicted felon and there must be a few Republicans who cannot vote for an adjudicated rapist and convicted felon!

From Haaretz today:

"Report: Hamas Accepts Gaza Cease-fire Deal; Israeli Officials Reject Prospect of War Ending.”

According to the report, Hamas was guaranteed by the U.S. for a full Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip and that Israeli forces will not continue fighting once the hostages are released ■ An Israeli official told Haaretz that 'Israel will, under no circumstances, agree to end the war as part of a deal' and is determined to enter Rafah"

"It's not up to GenZ to save democracy..."

Not exactly the Greatest Generation here, is it?

They seem awfully excited for another Trump term. I think young progressives are quite looking forward to it. They are clearly willing to throw everything from women's rights to the environment to income inequality to the Supreme Court aside so that for a brief moment they can say I told you so.

A generation ago it was the progressive Nader voters that gave us George Bush, the invasion of Iraq, and the financial collapse in 2008. It will be very interesting to see how things turn out as young progressives bring forth Trump 2.0. As Obama said, elections do indeed have consequences.

My god. Do you hear yourselves? I have to say that as a GenX I’m extremely disappointed in my fellow GenXers as of late.

How about people stop demonizing GenZ and actually start listening! You’re a fool if you think they are excited about Trump. As a lifelong Dem with GenZ kids, I would hope that our party, that I barely recognize, shapes up.

In 2022 they used donations to fund crazy Trumpsters. Now, they are minority rule on the war. I have no idea if my kids will be able to support themselves and the environment is rapidly declining. Frankly, it’s up to Biden and the party to do something worth voting for.

I wonder how long the Dems will watch Biden’s miserable polling before they decide to pull the old Torricelli switcheroo. “Oh, it turns out our beloved Joe has some major health issues all of a sudden!”

I agree 1000% OP. I have always been a die-hard democrat. But this November I am leaving the president bubble empty and voting all democrat down ballot. Enough of the carnage. Biden has blood on his hands.

BIDEN is only running because of T. Dems SHOULD HAVE found and pushed for an electable candidate, which obviously is not Kennedy who has anyhow changed party. Let's start thinking about '28. We can do better.

Biden's weaknesses are the three I's: Immigration, inflation, and Israel. Not to mention his age. I can't believe he wouldn't listen to anyone --including his wife--and step down after a fairly successful 1st term. He pulled us out of the pandemic, he's expanding Obamacare and the Infrastructure Act. There's still time for him to step down; Kamala will implode and someone stronger will become our nominee. Or so i hope and pray.

+1. Anyone who doesn’t vote or votes for someone other than Joe Biden is a moron. Trump will destroy democratic norms one by one, destroy the environment, and destroy Ukraine and Gaza by proxy. We will be lucky if any animals on the endangered species list remain and if WWIII doesn’t break out in Europe to say nothing about how he will dangerously widen the scope of presidential power. How is this even a question?

I have sympathy with protesters who feel the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and the killing of 34,000 Palestinians is unacceptable to say nothing of Israeli incursions in the West Bank and the constant violations of international law. I believe Israel has a right to exist but that a Palestinian state should also exist. I fundamentally believe Joe Biden believes this too but he can’t broker peace in the Middle East with a hard-line Netanyahu government that is deeply humiliated and an evil and psychopathic Hamas.

And while the economy is not great under Biden any interest rate adjustments under Trump (after he changes the structure and independence of the Fed) will be untethered from reality and result in long-term economic issues. Trump was mostly business rational in his first term by the normal-ish people who helped him maintain a veil of rationality during his first term are long gone. If Biden is not liberal enough for you why would you do something to help elect someone far less liberal and legit insane. Biden or bust.

Are you Gen Z? A gen Z colleague said this to me on a work call the other day and I legit could not believe it. He made a decision to run again years ago. Barring an incapacitating event he will run. The election is in six months. There is not time for him to step aside and for the Democratic Party to spend months choosing a candidate etc etc And we should all be making calls for Biden. Trump is psychotic and an idiot. The brave little toaster, either of my dogs, or any of my three children (all are under 6) would more ably lead the U.S. as President.

Don’t throw the baby out with the bath water. Joe Biden is 5 billion times better than Donald Trump. If you are GenX you know you can’t always get what you want but you can get a lot more of what you want with Biden. I’m a millennial with three little kids and I care deeply about the environment and democracy. I’m not happy with everything Biden or democrats have done and I am fiscally moderate with a high HHI and feel taxed death (partially on Trump though; thanks for SALT) but I would never vote for Trump for taxes and it makes me sick that billionaires are jumping on with Trump for taxes. It is sick.
