What makes you think Catherine isn’t “going to be ok”?

The December 28th ambulatory motorcade

"ambulatory" ?!

He spent most of it lying in Camilla's bed. His mother refused to abdicate because she knew he would be a terrible king.

I don’t think anyone in their 40s with young kids and a sick wife is ready to lose their last surviving parent and significantly step up their profession responsibilities. Doesn’t matter what the role is, those circumstances are beyond stressful.

Ribbon cutting void. That’s a good one.

I think this is very sad. But it also shows us that cancer doesn’t care who you are, how rich you are, how much medical access you have.

Yes, I think about this when I read that a very wealthy person, for example Steve Jobs, dies from cancer or other health related issue. Despite having enough money to buy the best care and latest treatments, they can suffer and die just like the poor person who can't afford any of that.

This. When Steve Jobs passed away from cancer, it was incredibly eye opening for me. Health is the most important thing in the world and no amount of money can buy your way out of poor health. Sometimes it's just bad luck. Awful.

She has cancer which even if survivable can become a chronic disabling disease with many other health issues that arise from the medications used to hold it at bay.

Wishing her the best outcome but pragmatically speaking it isn’t out of the realm of possibility that she won’t be.

Np Nothing that the pp said was unreasonable. Since we don't really know anything you bolded statement cannot be proved.

I guess you’ve never known anyone with an unexpected stage 4 cancer diagnosis. Some cancers are very aggressive.

I don’t know anyone with asymptomatic stage 4 cancer. There would have been some signs for him, and if there were signs — even if he ignored them or just recognized them retrospectively — there would be plenty of ways doctors would have picked up on it. At the very least, unexplained weight change.

I don’t think he’s special. I do know he’s a billionaire though.

You’re an idiot. You really need to educate yourself before posting. My dad was diagnosed at stage IV with no symptoms. Prior to that he wasn’t even taking any medications regularly.
+1 my Dad had a giant brain tumor and the only symptoms were minor memory and coordination loss typical for people in their mid 80s and indicative of other more minor problems. He did all of the recommended treatments and still died in five months.

It would be a great opportunity to educate people on the great varieties, treatments, and outcomes possible. Cancer is not the death nell it used to be for a great many kinds of cancers. Being so secretive just adds to the perception that it is sure death.

+1

Especially since they are figure heads. The British government is not at risk if Charles dies. The Royals really over value their importance. Which is why this is in the entertainment forum.

+1. William and Kate absolutely would not want this at this point in their lives.

I do hope Kate's cancer isn't serious. I hope Charles has a few more years in him.

In the real world people do it all the time. This is life.

Many people go on to live without disabling symptoms; it all depends on the kind of cancer and other factors. There is no reason the public should know any of the details about her particular cancer.

Poor Will, I can’t imagine how stressful this must be for him in particular.
