Moms who smoke weed

Could you imagine how miserable it would be to have such a mindset to spam a thread with insults? Scolding random adults about something that you have no experience with? They are lurking here morning, noon and night just to preach.

I am so out of touch with party-ers I don't even know what an "edible" is.

Maybe a few times a year. I like good cocktails or wine but I feel awful the next day and need to rest and recover.

As for weed though, I really enjoy gummies or other edibles, very rarely vape or take a hit because I don't like smoke. Never in front of or around my kids, never when I'll need to drive. Adds to the experience of a concert or nice dinner, or just to unwind with DH. A 5 mg edible is just right, I'm not sloppy or thinking unclearly, I sleep great, wake up feeling fine. I don't crave it and am in no way dependent on it. It's legal where I live and in my mind alcohol is much more risky at my age.

The only problem with gummies is they take so long to kick in. There’s a liquid kind that’s to help calm and relax that helps immediately. I know that’s not the one you’re looking for but immediate relief is helpful.

That's the one thing I miss about smoking. Smoking kicks in immediately so I can get to juuust the right level I want to be at, at the right time. Edibles you're always estimating and if you want to be just a little bit higher you're guessing the dose to add and waiting for it to kick in.

I see why you would feel that way. Fortunately for me edibles take seconds to minutes to kick in. What I don't like is predicting how much I'd like. So if it's 8pm I'll take 10mg. But it's not fully working for 30 minutes and then it's getting late to take another one. At least with smoke it hits you immediately and you can just take another hit.

It's really not limited to people who party. My 76 year old mother takes them to help with pain from hip replacement surgery and to sleep.

I’m always amazed at parents who do edibles or drink enough to be buzzed. I’m struggling enough to wake up at 5:30 am and take care of our kids stone cold sober, there is no way I could do it hungover! No judgment, I’m actually impressed!

Edibles don't cause hangovers, that's part of the appeal over drinking.

Sometimes I feel absolutely nothing in terms of alertness, energy or demeanor but it does loosen my muscles up and numbs pains a bit. I think it's just because I take too low of a dose but it's still enough to help with strains from working out

Just wait until you see the list of confirmed cannabis users that are highly intelligent and successful. Your ignorant opinion does not stand up to scrutiny.

I was low-dosing for a while and it completely screwed up my periods. Unfortunate because it really made me a better mother.

This was me and CBD. Literally the perfect solution to my insomnia after years of struggle…until it made me spot/bleed all month long. Ugh. I will take a thc gummy now and again but don’t want to build a tolerance so it’s much more sporadic and thus I have not noticed an effect on my cycle.

Weed is a personal choice, but all kinds of substance abuse has lasting effects on children.
