I am a little new to Athleta but like their stuff. I am hesitant to order on-line without trying things on. What items have you purchased from Athleta that you love? What items disappointed you? If you can answer, try to be specific so I know what you are talking about.

I'll start: The Crazy Eight suit really disappointed me. Looked great on the model, but there was no mention in the description that the suit offered absolutely no bra whatsoever. So I got it and without even putting it on I just returned it.

Evia Dress. Love it. Got it in two colors. Husband loves it too. Good for work or going out.

Approach Pant. Like it a lot.

I own two of their two piece bathing suits and LOVE them both. Not sure of the "name." Also love the senorita dress. Also love their plain black soft cotton skirt (not sure of the name). I have not loved their long sleeve tshirts (too long) and have generally not liked any of their pants (due to fit). I am a Medium but always order dresses and short sleeve tops in Small.

Thanks. You sound hot!

I keep looking at the Bettona pant. It gets very mixed reviews. I could see how they might be perfect and how they could also be a disaster. I can't decide.

Ha! Thanks, but not so sure about that!

There is a 30% off coupon for Athleta floating around right now. I saw it mentioned somewhere else on this board, but you can also find it online. Don't know about the Bettona pant, but looks cute.

No. The dilemma is that Athleta is an on-line store only, so you're taking a guess and a gamble with each order. With a $7.00 shipping fee and tax, plus you pay for any returns on shipping, it's not a gamble I take lightly. Or want to, if I can help it. There are on-line reviews but they are helpful only to a point and, when the reviews conflict with one another over and over again, the quest can become confusing.

I can assure you that no corporate representatives of the Gap, Inc. are trying to catch a few customers on here.

I'm a PP who has bought a few things over time at Athleta but I will say that I share the hesitation mentioned above due to the shipping/return charges. I never buy things full price but always wait for a sale so that offsets the shipping a bit. I'm surprised Athelta doesn't do more free shipping/return offers. I know I would be buying more from them if they did. I am debating buying a sweater but have held off because of the shipping/possible return charges.

If you're wearing their bikinis, I am definitely jealous.

OK, trying not to spend a fortune. I like the Approach Pant and think I'll get it in black.

I'm thinking about the Bettona Pant in Expresso.

And then there are these sweaters: http://athleta.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=49998&vid=1&pid=685216

Which, even on sale, are quite expensive in my opinion. They look gorgeous, but the reviews are mixed. What do you think?

The Senorita dress is gone. So now you've got a collector's piece.

Do you really think that someone from Athleta would plant an unpaid ad on DCUM??? That company has tons of many and can afford to advertise properly. Give me a break.

So she assumes that people who want to converse about their clothing are actually shills for Athleta? Please.

Someone explain the Athleta attraction to me? Why do you want to look exercisey at times when you're not exercising?

Some of us, who really embrace a healthy lifestyle and want to stay on the move, like Athleta. It makes clothes that are very versatile -- that can be worn out and about, to work, and for a good long walk during your lunch hour at work. Not all of the clothes are athletic in nature. The dresses are just plain pretty while also being comfortable and easy to wash. What more could you want??
